Make it an outstanding half-dozen books in the Joe Pickett series by CJ Box. . .In Plain Sight is indeed book #6 and it is another great read. Box is superb at establishing the scene and characters that fit naturally while keeping both compelling. This was not my favorite of the series because it does not focus quite as much on Joe in nature with his Game Warden work. It is, however, excellent story-telling and in this case the theme to the wild that is our West is woven to describe land ownership and the third generation curse. Read the whole series - you won't regret it.

Wow! I won't spoil the surprising ending. This is a good story. I find C.J.Box very readable, and easily get past occasional improbabilities.
