After a new animal (i.e. a baby) comes to their house, canine pals FudgeFudge and Marshmallow debate their course of action. Something must be done - no one throws a stick or a ball anymore and the dogs are chastised for barking and whining to get attention. After rejecting FudgeFudge's suggestions that they a) eat the animal, b) bury it with their bones, or c) sleep on top of it, Marshmallow vents his own frustration by peeing on the rug. Finally, when someone called Grandpa visits and tries to pick up that new animal, the dogs won't let him near it. It is, they decide, their animal "to hate as much as they want to. And to like, just a little bit." Hilarious - and entirely on point.

The girls figured out who the 'New' animal was! They had a lot of fun with the dogs. We've read this book every night for the last 2 weeks.
