I like all of this Series. Good historical information. Interesting and challenging characters. Battle scenes, romance, intimidation, set backs.

It's difficult to find fault with a ny of the Sharpe series of DVDs based as they are on the novels by Bernard Cornwell. But this time, I think the producers of this particular episode may have dropped the ball. For most of the video the performance is less than electrifying with a superabundance of talking-head shots as the protagonists crawl their way through a sagging script. But eventually action does prevail and the redcoats and green jackets storm the walls of Badajoz. There are blood and guts galore. And almost slimy villain Hawkeswill gets his comeuppance. Almost.
