If you want to be healthy you shouldn't eat anything in this book. This book is solely to make people who eat processed foods and fast foods feel better about themselves.

Who eats like this! Unless you are going to eat in American fast food restaurants or eat strictly pkg. food,
skip it! What a waste of funds that could have been placed into Canadian content!

Good book, but be careful because a lot of the options are high in sodium!!

This book got me back in the kitchen with gusto again! The recipes are so simple, yet different. They aren't so basic to be boring, and the ingredient list isn't so long that it's daunting. I've enjoyed all the recipes we've tried. I love all the little tips. Very helpful! And, I like that the book is small enough that I can cart it around everywhere with me. I never buy cookbooks, but I bought this one!
It is written by Americans, so the restaurant references are American, but it doesn't take away from the book because the examples are still relateable... food is food. :)

Could have been a good book but as it's American there's a lot of weird & fattening stuff I've never even heard of (thank God).

Great book if you are going to the States. No real Canadian content as a lot of the restaurant food is American. Some contradictions.

I love this series of books. I especially like the recipes in the back. Although I wish more Canadian brands were included...

This book seems to apply most to people who eat out a lot - and at American restaurants. Still, if you don't mind searching through for entries applicable to Canada, it's an interesting, if somewhat horrifying read - discovering the nutritional breakdown of some foods.

A shame much of this book is American content (i.e. restaurant listings), as it gives exact nutritional breakdowns on what you might be eating. If you can sift out what is applicable to everyone, not just those south of the border, this is a very interesting and informative little book.
