Babies are born all over the world who, no matter the country or ethnicity, all have ten fingers and ten toes. See little ones play together in this charming, rhyming book.

Sweet, rhythmic book which which shows babies of all cultures and all skin tones in a matter of fact way, just as part of the story. A babytime favourite.

An adorable rhyme that just rolls out of the mouth, and great opportunity for some concrete learning in storytime (parents touching baby's fingers and toes when the line comes up). The book's impact gets diminished a bit by the simple fact that not all children have ten fingers and ten toes. Plus one factual error that bugs me every time -- penguins and Inuit children don't live in the same place.

Unpopular opinion: I'm always uncomfortable with books like this, which straight-up claim that *all* babies have ten fingers and toes (or whatever else). Some babies don't, and while it's fine to talk about ten fingers and toes, I don't like pretending that "everyone knows" that all babies are the same, when they're not.

Play and tickle your baby with this fun little book! Great for teaching body parts too.

Nothing could be sweeter than the chubby baby fingers and tiny baby toes depicted in this chanted celebration of babies born everywhere.

I love everything from Mem Fox, and this book is no exception. Magically, she captures the sense of each baby being unique and special, while also portraying their commonality in a warm and comforting way. This is a great addition to every home library and would make a fabulous new baby present!

This book is about babies all over the world with different skin color and different living situations, but who all have one thing in common--ten little fingers and ten little toes.

The concept of this book is adorable and admirable. I would like to see more picture books with children of all different colors included. Babies should be exposed to this from the very beginning to learn that skin color means absolutely nothing. The babies in this book were so cute, they made me smile.

My only negative comment is, this book, while applauding racial diversity, does not include disabled children. Not all babies are born with ten little fingers and ten little toes. A truly diverse book would include them as well.

Still a good book with a good message. I recommend for reading to those younger than school age.

Even though this book is for children, it is geographically incorrect. Inuit and pengins do not live on the same sheet of ice!

this is a delightful book - I shared it with a group of 2 years olds - they loved it - especially the kisses at the end ! (blown of course !) they returned them ! lovely text and lovely illustrations.

"And both of these babies, as everyone knows, had ten little fingers and ten little toes."
