Through interviews with biologists - The viewer learns so many fascinating facts about hummingbirds, who are the smallest and most remarkable birds on the face of this planet.

You've really got to see these tiny "super birds" in action for yourself to fully appreciate them in all of their natural wonder and beauty.

When it comes to my personal choices for all-time "favourite birds of the world" - (Be they owls, parrots, eagles, or peacocks) - It's, without question, hummingbirds who are #1 on the top of my list.

This informative, first-rate documentary from PBS takes a real close-up look at these truly amazing, little critters who are not only experts at hovering, but they can also fly backwards, upside-down and sideways, as well (which makes them totally unique in the ever-diverse world of birds).

This is a terrific example of a good nature documentary - great photography, informed but not anthropomorphic narration, chock-full of interesting facts. It's both entertaining and educational - really worth the time!

Fascinating documentary on the wealth of species that make up the hummingbirds of the Americas. These tiny birds are formidable fliers, and that certainly comes across in this examination of the variety of their kind.

They may be the tiniest of birds but they are strong little motors on wings and they can be quite fierce. Considered "little athletes", they truly are magical!
