This CD is more appropriate for children, but mine didn't enjoy it very much. Nothing captivating here.

I was so excited to see new material from Natalie. Unfortunately, the songs weren't actually songs. They were her interpretations of childhood fairytales and stories.

Natalie Merchant made a change in her style apparently sometime after she had a baby. I love this this new CD! It's fun to listen to and to learn. It gets me movin' every time I play it. If you don't like children you probably don't like it. These songs are not just fairy tales and children's stories, they are nursery ryhmes of old, starting in the 1600's! I surely don't believe she'll stick with this new, fun style. If you're a guy watch out for The Sleepy Giant!
