Sexual Content: No sex, and one brief instance of nudity. There's a scene about halfway through the film in which the three main characters go to a strip bar, and bare breasts and butts can be seen on screen for 2-3 seconds. The scene isa bout 5 minutes long, and some nude women can be seen, albeit blurred, in the background, but the only moment to really worry about is the aforementioned instance of nudity.

Violence: Not a lot of violence. There is a lengthy, violent shootout at the end, and one or two small fight scenes in the middle of the film. One character is executed by being sot through the back of the head at the beginning, but this is seen from a distance.

Coarse Language: Severe coarse language, with LOTS of f-words, and other cussing.

While some may not see what the big deal is with this movie, I have to say, I absolutely love it. Some may not find it very funny, but I personally thought it was hilarious, and while there is little in the way of action, the action sequences are still pretty good, with a great opening truck chase, two small fight scenes, and one large-scale, great shootout at the end. Everyone's performances were great, but Eddie Murphy really carried this film. His banter feels so natural, and he is still believable as a cop who wants justice for his best friend. Overall, excellent film, 10/10.

If you were around in the 80s, you probably have fond memories of Eddie Murphy, whose reign included "SNL," films, stand up specials, and even music (Remember "Party All the Time"?). And then the 90s happened, and, while he made gobs of money, he seemed hell-bent on squandering all his talent. "Beverly Hills Cop" is one of his signature films and hasn't aged well. It's neither very money nor a very good action movie. It does have an awesome instrumental theme song though and some good supporting performances from Judge Reinhold, Ronny Cox, and Jon Ashton. Paul Reiser, Damon Wayans, and Bronson Pinchot (my favorite) have bit parts. The joke is that everyone in Beverly Hills is snobby and rich! Followed by 2 unnecessary sequels.
