I am a big fan but this is lame. Solo concert means no band - constant close-ups of his unshaven 66-year old puss. Yukkk! Look away. Kind of boring uninspired versions. Sound quality is fair to poor. His voice is surprisingly still in top shape.

You watch it because you enjoy Neil Young's music. But then, listening to a CD will do the job nicely. This video collection of his performance at Massey Hall, intercept by his drive through rural Ontario, is not very interesting.

Boring, even for a Neil Young fan. After a while, I sped up the DVD where he sings songs, and the guitar picking was almost interesting. There is a scary scene where the camera focuses on his mouth for an entire song. Fortunately his teeth are clean. You do learn that he has a brother who drives the speed limit in small town Ontario. The scenery in his home town of Orilla looks familiar to us, but may be fascinating to ... someone. Neil sings and plays alone, as on the album "Le Noise" which he was promoting at the time. That album is however more interesting in the can than live at Massey Hall, probably due to the studio wizardy of the producer, Gatineau's own Daniel Lanois. I must admit that I could not finish the DVD and quit after an hour.

A nice mix of Young's songs. However, this film does not give much insight into the man himself.

Dull. The parts with Neil just driving around his old home town is just pointless. The concert footage is just him plunkin' away on stage.
