I don't like self-help books but I really enjoyed this one because it felt like a mix of self-help and memoir genre.

I have never included a comment before, but I cannot express how disappointed I was by this book, which was very nicely reviewed by somebody in People magazine. I didn't exactly expect a scholarly tome, but all this is is a series of anecdotes about this Julie Klam woman's friends and all the nice things they have done for HER, all the gifts she has received, etc. She is a big, self-centered, egotistical bore. I did not finish the book, although I did attempt to read it, and it's going back today.
