GOOD 2014 release with 11 diverse cuts by founded in Boston 'free country' band with their own unique approach to contemporary music.
A bit different than what I usually listen to - but I enjoy Rachel Price's vocals and it was entertaining.
What struck me first about this album was the female lead singer's vocal style. Like a surprising number of female vocalists who sing very bluesy. (can anyone say Bonnie Raitt, among others). this band is quite fortunately to have such a singer. (I've forgotten her name).
The first song, "Bad Self Portraits" is a killer and the vocal shines. All of the songs here are worthy of a listen and most, quite special. I've always had a soft spot for female vocalists anyway, going back to my pre-teen days.
