Unemployed Polly Parrish impulsively picks up a baby left at orphanage doors at Christmas. Everyone assumes the foundling is hers, including Polly's playboy ex-boss, who offers her a job if she'll live up to her maternal duties. A paycheck would be handy, so Polly complies. Then the boss's tycoon dad assumes the infant is his secret grandson, and things really spin out of control.

How did I miss this one! A great comedy. Even though he had limited screen time, Charles Coburn as the "grandfather" was perfect.
Young and sassy Ginger Rogers meets sauve David Nivens. Worth watching just to see Niven with his hair out of place.

GREAT 1939 comedy of errors with Ginger Rodgers at age 28 in a fine dramatic role. The film is charming, goofy, heartwarming. The several duck toy scenes were lots of fun - hah, hah.
This was the original version of 1956 film 'Bundle of Joy' with Debbie Reynolds.

One of the best comedies ever! And a great look at the culture and mores of the Great Depression.
