"In Happily Ever After, one of the rare stars of The Bachelor/Bachelorette reality series to actually find a true, lasting romance shares how every woman can find happiness and success in love, family, work, and life through appreciation and grace. Trista is often asked her secret to being the one of the rare Bachelor(ette) relationships to make it to the altar and beyond. Through personal stories, as well as anecdotes from friends, family, and experts, Trista shares the simple yet profound keys to finding everyday happiness and success: gratitude and grace. From the introduction: I've been around for 40 years and I can tell you that happily ever after isn't always glamorous. It has nothing to do with whether you can afford or fit into a dress right off the runway. It isn't based on how many times you've had your hair and makeup done, what you get paid (or not) to do with your time, how many square feet your house is, or the number of invitations you've had to talk to Larry King, Diane Sawyer, Barbara Walters, or Ellen. While I may have found my prince and found myself at the center of some extraordinary moments, I have also suffered and struggled through my fair share of disappointment and pain. The universe has taught me so much, and undoubtedly will continue to do so. The main thing I've learned about what makes for a happy life, right up there with good health and lots of love, is gratitude. My intent here is to share not only the lessons I've learned, but also those of my friends and family, some strangers and even the teachings of the world's most enlightened authors, philosophers, poets, and educators"-- Provided by publisher.
"Whether or not you remember Trista (Rehn) Sutter from her heartbreak on the first season of The Bachelor reality show or as the original Bachelorette, you've probably seen her on the cover of magazines like People and US Weekly or on shows like Ellen and Dancing with the Stars. She has rarely been out of the public eye since falling in love with Ryan Sutter on The Bachelorette more than ten years ago. This former pediatric physical therapist and Miami Heat dancer had her fairy tale fall into place with a whirlwind courtship and dream-come-true wedding to a poetry-writing firefighter (televised on ABC to more than 26 million viewers). The happy couple now has two adorable kids and a dog. Sutter is often asked her secret to being one of the rare reality-TV relationships to make it to the altar and beyond. Through personal stories, as well as anecdotes from friends, family, and experts, she shares the simple yet profound keys to finding everyday happiness and success: gratitude and grace. I was obsessed with the Trista/Ryan season of "The Bachelorette" but I don't think fans of the show will fall for this book. A bit cutesy and simple writing had me drop it down a star.

Trista is making another effort to find herself on the television screens of the America "fans" she has acquired through "The Bachelor and ette" shows she appeared on, in my opinion.

This book appears to have been written for the 20 something crowd and for promotion of herself and the businesses she likes and a product line she has started.

Not to mention it's one quote after another from an article, book, or otherwise.

Very surprised the library spent money on 5 copies of this book. There are so many other books out there that offer far greater value to the reader.
