This is a collection of short films that focus on hip hop culture, with thumbnail sketches of the history of elements of the genre, specifically, breakin', graffiti, DJing, and MCing. The first two short films look at the origins of b-boys and b-girls, the development of "crews" of dancers, and how the elements combined to form a unique environment for creative expression. There is a short excerpt from "Beat Street" highlighting a breakin' "battle" between the Rock Steady Crew and the New York City Breakers. Includes interviews with individuals prominent during the development of hip hop, current (2005) practitioners, and fans. Also included is a music video for "Will Not Be Destroyed" by the Living Legends, and galleries of stills from each of the three movies included in the box set.
