More supernatural than I thought. I was really looking for a ghost story. It's sort of like - been there, done that.

Smart, snappy, suspenseful Southern Gothic horror that keeps you on your toes, always being slightly off-kilter and slapping you with some great plot twists. The writing is crisp and tensely-paced with some creeptastic imagery and an ending that legitimately scared the bejeezus out of me. Perfect autumn reading.
