I found the opening scene with the smartass kids excruciating and turned it off

Enjoyable romantic comedy in which the beautiful Sophia plays the headstrong runaway daughter of a famous controlling father and becomes involved with an emotionally distant widower and his three unhappy young children. Loren and Cary Grant have a nice chemistry together. Cool blonde beauty Martha Hyer and garrulous character actor Harry Guardino round out the attractive cast.
Behind-the-scenes gossip has it that Grant had madly pursued Loren during the making of their previous and first film, "The Pride and the Passion," then upon realizing she was not going to leave Carlo Ponti for him tried to get out of making this movie; but the two remained friends.

GOOD 1958 romantic comedy with Gary Grant, Sophia Loren (and beautiful somewhat obscure Martha Hyer).

The complex social relationship of Grant character and his family after the mother of their three children dies had a downer turn on the romantic comedy which kept me from getting as emotionally involved as in other, simpler romance movies of the time.

I particularly enjoyed the humorous 'Bing, Bang, Bong' song Loren sings on a couple occasions.
