A very engaging story. Good for practicing spanish. Child actor is so good at his craft. Good for spanish class viewing.

This is a wonderful film to soften up your heart and make you put away any petty prejudices. As different as we may be from one another, we are essentially alike with the same heartbreaks, hopes and dreams.
The acting is real and natural. The child actor, Adrian Alonso, who portrays Carlitos is absolutely adorable.
There's some nice Norteno & Tejano music and you may even pick up a few words of Spanish.

What a wonderful movie based on the love of a boy towards his mother? The son acting is really mind blowing. A must watch family movie.

Adorable. Manages to show the dangers and touch on all areas of illegal immigration without getting ugly or appearing cliche.

This is a fantastic love story about a boy and his mother who live apart. The mother is living in the US and the son lives in Mexico.
After his grandmother dies, Carlito decides to go across the border to try to find his mother. It's a very touching film!
