Pete Townshend revisited the rock opera concept with another double-album session that was built around the story of a young mod's struggle to come of age in the mid-'60s. Quadrophenia is an excellent and frequently astonishing album.

Originally released in 1973 - The 17 tracks on this 2-disc set were the very ones that were eventually used in the 1979 film of the same name.

All of these songs were written by guitarist/keyboardist, Peter Townsend. Quadrophenia was the Who's follow-up album to 1971's "Who's Next".
