A solid 3.5 stars for this second installment in the Charlotte Holmes trilogy. This is intricately plotted and like the original Sherlock, Charlotte continues to be an enigma. Watson continues to make you want to root for him. I enjoyed the small interlude where we heard the story from Charlotte's perspective in this story. There are many questions yet unanswered. Must hang in there for the third chapter.

An entertaining series where Holmes is Charlotte Holmes and Watson is Jamie Watson. Both are teens who meet at an American boarding school. With one case under their belts, a visit home to Holme's family estate is the start of another one. The pair deal with missing relatives, the Moriartys and art fraud. The plot is way too convoluted, but still enjoyable and I'll probably read the next in the series, if there is another one.
