An almost completely different story from the Seuss book. (And, of course, almost nothing to do with Christmas.) However, it does have it's own points. Carrey's antics can be both funny and annoyingly intrusive, often at the same time. Probably best aimed at primary school age.

I love that this movie doesn't stick to the book word for word, and it also doesn't look silly, even when it wants to be silly.

A hilarious movie that should be watched year after year. Carrey is remarkable, as he is in almost all his movies, this is probably the epitome of his long career! Another actor that did well was the girl who played Cindy Lou - whatever happened to her? Anyway, not only does it make you continually laugh out loud, it also has a good moral that everyone should realize and follow. Two green, furry thumbs up!

The ultimate Christmas movie. Probably my favourite movie ever.

Jim Carrey fans -- line up here!
His talent is evidently plain here. The man can evoke so many different emotions at any given point.

Loved it!

This movie isn't so much about Dr. Seuss's brilliant book, on which it's based, but about Jim Carrey's physically amazing performance in costume as the mythical Grinch. Carrey can express more with one finger than most actors can achieve with their whole body.
