I didn't think I was going to like this, and when I first started reading the collection, I wasn't very impressed. It felt like too much of a throw-away story. But then it started to show some cohesion, and as the story progressed, the personality of Jughead and some of the others really starts to come through. In the end, I thought Waid did a really good job of modernizing Jughead and the Archie gang, without taking away the simple, idealistic nature of the original comics that I read so long ago. This was a safe read with reliable, old friends and it was well worth reading for people of a certain age that remember reading the Archie comics when they were young. I hope a newer audience will also give this a chance because they just might like it.

Although we all know Jughead to be a lazy, food-loving teenager, this story depicts him in a different light. Yes, he still loves to sleep and eat, but this story also has him as heroic and determined by doing what he firmly believes is right with his school, which isn't typically shown in the classic Archie comics.

This was just a really fun read. I think Jughead is just a great character. Personality and look. I want to know where he got his hat. I really want to know where he got his hat.

I really hope the Riverdale show does not brush Jughead's sexuality under the rug. I want an asexual character on my tv screen.

Jughead's fantasy sequences were something I think won't work for everyone but worked for me. I loved the super teens sequence the most. The Game of Thrones like one wasn't really my thing but I still liked it enough.

I love the art. Erica Henderson is becoming one of my favorite comic artists between this and Unbeatable Squirrel Girl.

I really really want to know where he got his hat.
