LOVED IT

Greetings from Witness Protection! is a story of a young orphan girl, who is dropped into a family with only one purpose: to hide her family from malicious people. The story revolves around her new life, but with continuous memories from her past, and how they both connect. The only thing to improve is the first paragraph, since it is a bit confusing. A warming yet suspenseful story, with a strong potential for popularity among young readers. -Nicole

-------------------
The author of this book did an awesome job of using a tennager’s point of view to
write the feelings, actions, etc. which played a really important role in this story. It
was about this 13-year-old girl named Nicki Demere who was abandoned by her
father and lived in the foster system. Her life suddenly kind of changed after she
agreed to join the U.S marchal and help a family who recently was on a run from a
fearsome criminal. To do this, Nicki has to carry huge responsibilities such as,
maintaining a grade of B-minuses at school, hiding her identity from her friends,
making sure that not much attention is on her, etc. It is an interesting book with those
fancy words to learn and those really good conversations which I could imitate from.
So, yes I recommend this book. -YunYun

Nicki is a 13 year-old foster home tween, going from one foster home to another with the group home in between. She has a heart of gold and fingers that can lift anything without anyone knowing, including from the marshals who ask her to help with the witness protection program.
Like the other reviewers, I too enjoyed this book immensely. I didn't want it to end and I'm hoping that Mr Burk will write a sequel to it. It is a little predictable, but in this day and age, I think it’s a good thing. Enjoy reading it.

This book was certainly an interesting and intriguing read, once I started reading I did not want to stop until I had finished. I’ve never read any book with a plot similar to “Greetings From Witness Protection”. This book combines a tween exploring their middle school life while working in the witness protection program. The plot is a great way to incorporate the witness protection program into a child/tween book. It combines some witty humor along with a thrilling plot. The only bit I think could have been improved about this book is how predictable it is, the ending is quite anticipated. Overall, still a good read especially for tweens. Rating: 3.5/5 Stars

I really enjoyed this, to the point of being disappointed that it was over. The concept is interesting in itself, and the story is incredibly well written.

I adored this book. I was totally charmed by Nicki's snark and the unique premise of a 13-year-old kleptomaniacal pickpocket being recruited into the Witness Protection Program. Jake Burt managed to create a great balance of humor, suspense, and heart in this story, and I will happily recommend it to tweens.
