Watch as three of four eggs hatch, and then discover what happens with the last one. With just a few words, the sweet pastel pictures tell most of this funny story.

A cute story about four eggs and an unlikely friendship. Love the pastel colors!

Our son loves this book and has read it multiple times. It teaches the idea of being patient and wait till things happen. It also touches upon the topics diversity and inclusiveness, which are very relevant in this age

'Egg' is quite charming and very clever with exceptionally expressive illustrations.

My 2-year-old loved it! He does have a bit of an obsession with eggs right now, though. But, my 3-year-old, loved that he could "read" the book with me because of the simplicity of the text and the repetition. Might have to buy this one...

This book with few words and a lot of repitition was a lot of fun to read, and the kids in storytime really enjoyed it. They repeated back most of the words without being prompted to do so.

Oh Kevin have made me long for a purple plastic purse with two quarters in it...and now whenever I am waiting for something, I have a lovely image in my head to entertain me, the big panel of the green egg and the page of 16 boxes of the green egg waiting waiting waiting waiting waiting....

I enjoyed the simple pictures and text in this book. This book is a lot of fun to read with young children! If you ask open-ended questions like, "What do you think will happen next?" and, "what's going on right now?" I'll bet you'll be surprised and delighted on the responses. Beautiful, simple, and a surprise in an egg.

Kevin Henkes does it again - creates something lovely. His pastels and rounded edges of characters are simplistic, and easily identifiable with children. But Henkes is always using his white space in new ways. Delightful.

This is a great graphic/picture book for preschool aged children.

Another sweet, simple and warm fuzzy of a book from Henkes.
