Clever, dark film that tells 4 separate stories that are gradually brought together. Involved are two low-rent hit men, their boss and his sexy wife, a prizefighter and a pair of desperate robbers.

VERY GOOD 1994 Quentin Tarantino film with excellent cast of characters and interestingly constructed plot - dark and with rough language, etc.

Definitely one of my favorite movies. Travolta and Jackson did an awesome job playing their parts, I enjoyed it from beginning to end. Had me laughing a lot!

This movie is extremely well known today, even though it was made in the 90s. The crime movie is comedic, dynamic, entertaining and more, undoubtedly being one of Quentin Tarantino's best films to date. The combination of different characters ranging from hitmen, to gangsters, boxers and more, make this movie extremely exciting with a diverse set of characters and plot points. The frequent themes of violence and redemption cause it to be a jaw-dropper that will have you glued to your seat. I would rate this film 5/5 stars and recommend it to those with an interest in crime and action films. @The_Reviewer of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library

Just watched this film a few days ago again. It hasn't lost its charm, though it was produced about 25 years ago. I still enjoyed the plot, impressive cast (Samuel L. Jackson, Uma Thurman, John Travolta, Bruce Willis... and more), and the amazing musical score. Such a fun movie to watch.

Directed by Quentin Tarantino in 1994, this American crime film shows a few crime stories of Los Angeles as its storyline goes out of chronological order.
Considerable screen time appears to be devoted to monologues and casual conversations with eclectic dialogue revealing each character's perspectives on several subjects.
The film turns out to be an ironic combination of humor and strong violence.

The dialogue of this movie is one of the best ever in cinema! Love the characters, love Winston Wolf especially! A must see!

Samuel t. is definitely the man; he makes Travolta look like a scientology pussy. take a moment and imagine Tom Cruise in the role that Travolta played. The script is excellent; what a masterful use of flashback! there was no official sequel to this, but I recommend Reservoir Dogs, as well as Jackie Brown, which together might fit the bill, as sequel to this film of its generation. Definitely a time capsule epic.

John Travolta really knocks it out of the park. He really can come across as a "really bad guy". Though the language in the film is rough, that unfortunately is the vocabulary of the mob. Don't miss "Pulp Fiction" if you like an action film! I had my hair standing up with some of the toughest scenes!

Sexual Content: 9/10. No actual scenes but has MUCH sexual diolouge, cheating on spouses. Grapihic talk about sex and a male on male rape scene (which isn't graphic but disturbing non the less)

Violence: 10/10 Extreme. There is a very disturbing OD scene. Assassinations get very violent. Someone has their head blown off (the most graphic scene) blood and brains splatter over everyone (this later is a major subplot line). People are shot and stabbed. Much gore.

Coarse Language: Extreme 10/10. Had the record for F-Bombs for a while clocking at something like 300. Other profanities are used. Lot's of sexual language.

Frightening or Intense Scenes: Intense OD scene, I can see how it might be scary. A lot of suspense = everything becomes way more intense

Violence: Lots of guns, and even a sword... Some nice blood and brains. Keep in mind that most of the blood and violence is very unexpected and then the aftermath is pretty drawn out.

Sexual Content: A plethora of sexual/suggestive talk and conversation. Rape.

The Wolf:
You see that, young lady? Respect. Respect for one's elders gives character.

Raquel:
I have character.

The Wolf:
Just because you are a character doesn't mean that you have character.

Vincent: A "please" would be nice.
The Wolf: Come again?
Vincent: I said a "please" would be nice.
The Wolf: Get it straight, Buster. I'm not here to say "please". I'm here to tell you what to do. And if self-preservation is an instinct you possess, you better ****ing do it and do it quick. I'm here to help. If my help's not appreciated, lots of luck, gentlemen.
Jules: No no, Mr. Wolfe, it's not like that. Your help is definitely appreciated.
Vincent: Look, Mr. Wolfe, I respect you. I just don't like people barking orders at me, that's all.
The Wolf: If I'm curt with you, it's because time is a factor. I think fast, I talk fast, and I need you two guys to act fast if you want to get out of this. So pretty please, with sugar on top, clean the ****ing car.

Jules: "What do they call a Big Mac?"

Vincent: "Well, Big Mac's a Big Mac, but they call it, 'le Big Mac'."

Vincent: "Ahh man, I shot Marvin in the face."

Jules: "Why the fuck'd you do that?!"

Vincent: "I didn't mean to do it, it was an accident."

Jules: "Man, I seen some crazy ass shit in my time, but this?"

Vincent: "Chill out man. I told I didn't mean to do it. You probably went over a bump or something."

Jules: "Ain't tryin' to hit no motherfuckin' bump."

You ever read the Bible Brett? There's a passage I got memorized, seems appropriate for this situation: Ezekiel 25:17. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."
