I have read little about Joan of Arc, but this book is the first book that ever kept me up all night to read through to the finish. The photographs alone are worth at a minimum looking through the book. Ms. Brooks tells the story so thoroughly and with warmth that I could love her story telling enough to hope each of my children will own this book.
