I would agree with some of my fellow readers that I was slightly fearful that this book would be very similar to the first one. However it was nothing like a repeat of the first book. In this book Kristina gets in way over her head by thinking she can control the monster. All she wanted is to feed the need and keep at a maintenance level to get through the day. On things leads to another until all is to much(without giving to much away). This book shows how addicting crystal meth could be. An addiction is an addiction for life, it never goes away and this book is a good representation of that. Once you start with the monster will be part of your life if you want it to or not. I think if you want to know how a addiction can effect your life this is a great series to read. This is sad journey for Kristina and I wish her the best.
