This story is told from the points of view of seven students in Mr. Terupt's class (his first year teaching) over the school year. I liked the way I learned about the students and their lives and families as the other students learned about them. It was heartbreaking as well as heartwarming and touched on so many issues, you'd be hard-pressed NOT to find one to which you can relate. The students learn Mr. Terupt's lessons through his subtle methods; he guides rather than imposes.
