Words cannot express how much I loved this book! This book will forever hold a special place in my heart. I first read it in grade 6 as a class, with my teacher reading it aloud. It was absolutely beautiful and moved me with every short-yet-wonderful chapter there was! Mr. Terupt is slightly unrealistic, for no teacher is that heavily dedicated and engaged in a student's life, however the way the students' personal problems and drama combined together in the book was just amazing. Mr. Rob Buyea did a fantastic job of linking everything together and ensuring that the tragedy of Mr. Terupt was 100% logical and reasonable. I really love the way the book expresses how important a teacher is in a student's life. It changes the way you think about teachers; how not every teacher is a good one and it takes somebody engaged and dedicated to really give you the education you need whilst making your scholarly life memorable. Mr. Terupt is fun and engaging, exactly what today's teachers need to be like.
