This is Hitch's second Hollywood movie and it is a great but underappreciated one. The last half hour of this movie are as thrilling as any I have watched. The story is engaging and Hitch's technical mastery is quite something, especially for a film made in 1940. The screenwriter's (and they were many involved in this movie) political message are made clear in Joel McCrea's final lines. Quite a prescient film from an international political standpoint as well. If you haven't yet seen this I highly recommend that you do.
