"Every book longs to tell its story. From the moment they're bound, they wait for fingers to open them up." Funke tells the story of the books sitting on library and bookstore shelves longing to be read. She plays tribute to classic authors such as Victor Hugo, Jane Austen, Alexandre Dumas, and Astrid Lindgren. Our main character Morry--his name is inspired by Maurice Sendak--longs for someone to read through his pages (Where The Wild Things Are). A book that will resonate with readers of all ages.
