Well written. Chapter length is reasonable. Excess verbage has been clearly pruned away. Well referenced. My only regret is that this is not part of a "Truman Trilogy," with volume II covering the Japanese surrender to the start of the Korean War and Volume III the Korean War until Inauguration Day 1953. So much happened in Truman's entire presidency, and he certainly served as a model for future presidents, being willing to make the tough decisions, even if not popular.
