Overall, a lovely story. The message was great, not complex but somehow still needs to be said in this day and age. Klune said it in a beautiful, positive way. I'm always going on about how if you want something to change for the better, focus on the better. Don't go on and on about what's wrong. Give us an example of what Better could look like. That was this novel! Though it wasn't completely utopic (that would've been annoying honestly) it depicts a world in which it is possible for everyone to live in harmony without limiting preconceptions. Awesome!
Drawbacks. I got a bit fatigued of the exposition by about 3/4 of the way through. I would've loved to see a bit more action, a little less conversation. And the ending was extremely predictable, in pretty much every regard. I saw it coming from 10,000 miles out. Maybe it wasn't supposed to be a surprise. I guess I would've loved just one or two big surprises or action scenes, because Fantasy.
